'Pro-gun Pastor' Defends Requirement for Unloaded Firearms

CNN's John Roberts quoted a Gun Rights Examiner column in his "American Morning" interview with Pastor Kenneth Pagano...[More]
I typically don't do two GRE posts in one day, but then again, it's not every day I find out CNN quoted me in an interview. The other thing I like about this is it's the first time national televised media has broached the "Only Ones" concept.

So far, I haven't seen if they posted the video, as opposed to the transcript. If anyone finds out, please let me know. I'm curious to find out if he pronounced my name right.

And please share this with a friend or two...

The Wrong Question

Should guns be allowed in schools? [More]
What did Mr. Pynchon say?
If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don't have to worry about answers.
See, it's not anybody's place to "allow" me to exercise my rights.

Pleasestopgunviolence.com?

I got a spam email from a site that calls itself--depending on how you access it-- pleasestopgunviolence.com or firearmsfax.com. [More]

As near as I can figure, they want you to pay them to register your guns. That way, you can volunteer to do what some of us have been fighting having forced on us. Or something.

Their "About Us" tab doesn't really tell us much. I did a "Who Is" lookup, and the site is registered to one Frank Sciarra, who I've never heard of as being anyone of significant achievement in the ongoing RKBA struggle. True, they have forums where gun rights are discussed, so I don't want to cast unwarranted suspicion on their efforts.

Thing is, their visitor stats at this writing say:
In total there is 1 user online :: 0 registered, 0 hidden and 1 guest (based on users active over the past 5 minutes)
Most users ever online was 9 on Tue May 12, 2009 6:42 pm
Based on that, I'd assess this as nothing to get excited about, but certainly also nothing I'd be interested in signing up for. I keep my own secured records of what I own.

Experience a Real City

Seven teenagers were wounded — three critically — after they were sprayed with gunfire this afternoon by two masked men at a bus stop near Cody 9th Grade Academy on the city’s west side. [More]
Now that it's in the news and all, I wonder if the Detroit Police will report it...? Hell, I wonder if they've reported themselves yet. In between anomalies.

Ahhh...Pure Michigan!

We're the Only Ones Who Really Know How to Treat a Lady Enough

"If you're going to act like a woman I'm going to treat you like a woman."

..."He punched me in the back (there are bruises), he handcuffed me, and in the scuffle grabbed my breasts and pinched them." [More]
They're so cute when they get mad when "Only Ones" manhandle and feel 'em up, aren't they?

I don't know what she's so upset about--it's not like they shot her dog.

We're the Only Ones with the Lamest Story Enough

The lamest so far came from a police officer: He said he bought a few military-style rifles, left them in his car and — on the same night — forgot to lock a door. He couldn’t explain why he didn’t file a police report or why he visited Mexico the day after the alleged theft. [More]
I'm sure he had noble reasons. After all, that's why guys like him are the "Only Ones"... and we're not.

Cursing Their Luck

Many thought the shutdown of gambling halls would never happen. Casinos are now allowed only in designated, far-flung zones, leaving gamblers and workers cursing their luck. [More]
They ought to be cursing "Pootie-Poot."

Still, there is hope:
For other games, many believed, there would be illegal gambling dens kept running with bribes to crooked authorities.
Yep, just wait until the criminal underworld starts running everything. You guy's ain't seen nothin' yet. Makes me wonder how much they gave ol' Pootie to get him to pull this off for them.

Hey--maybe we can exploit the spike in "gun violence" that always comes with increased gangland activity to further calls for international gun controls!

Franken Senate Victory No Joke for Gun Owners

312 votes. And now this bad political joke will be played out on the rest of us. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column looks at a Senate development that is no laughing matter.
