An Excellent Question

Why wouldn't you support the people who are fighting to cage the government monster that's coming to eat everything that you own? [More]
Concerned American figures there are some natural allies out there for liberty activists to broaden the base with. I don't disagree. I've always believed in being inclusive that way.

I just insist on it being a two-way street. A lot of the more politically-minded treat this like it's just about money, and don't particularly want to be identified with icky gun people, because then the SPLC might attack them too.

Get this: They will anyway. No matter how much you surrender, if you don't surrender all they will smear you as a right wing hater.

We're the Only Ones "You've Got Mail" Enough

Schaffer admits that he later sent similar photos (both nude and "partially nude") of himself back to the woman—using, believe it or not, "computer equipment belonging to the Goddard Police Department and the citizens of Goddard, Kansas." The coup de grace? He sent the e-mails when he was on duty. He also tried twice to have the local prosecutor dismiss the charges against the woman. [More]
And his excuse is she sent him pictures too, so he wasn't the only one doing it...?

We're the Only Ones Watching the Kids Enough

A former lieutenant with the Baton Rouge Police Department was sentenced to a federal prison term of more than six years Thursday for distribution of child pornography. [More]
We all realize that's the same sentence Wayne Fincher got for exercising what anyone honest would have to admit is his Constitutionally-recognized right?

So being a patriot gets the same government response as being a pedophile pervert, and an "Only One" pedophile pervert who abused his position of power and trust at that?

I can understand why some might figure the costs and benefits of surrendering vs. resisting need to be factored into their ultimate decision to accept that.

Speaking of sexual predators, commentator "Liberty Belle" thinks I'm a "hippocrite."

Size Matters

David Hardy demonstrates. [More]

For some reason, that old "How come women are so bad at math?" joke comes to mind...

I Rest My Case

Isabelle says:

I LOVE Kate Gosselin so much....she is my HERO and I love that she Love's GOD and her kids and would do anything 4 them. :Þ [More]
I am shamed.

This lady, in one brief sentence, more eloquently demonstrated what I took a whole article to say.

One of Our Experts

If you find a gun in your attic or if a relative dies and you find yourself in possession of a weapon for which you are unsure you have the required authority to possess, the law allows for you to hand it to a Registered Firearms Dealer. He will ask for your name but you are not obliged to provide it. He will then inform the police that a firearm has been handed-in anonymously and they will check that it has not been used in crime and then authorise the RFD to dispose of it legally.

The police would rather unlicensed guns be ‘in the system’ and they will not seek to penalise the honest hand-over of firearms that are currently unlicensed. If in doubt, you can contact Sporting Shooter for one of our experts to advise you. [More]
Because if you can't trust an oberkapo, who can you trust?

Thing is, this rings a bell. Ah yes, here it is:
"Bill did what any honest, law-abiding American would do...he turned in his SKS Sporter to the police."
Ask the experts!

Who Can We Trust With Guns? Who Can We Trust With Freedom?

Is it not a sad reality that some things are broken and cannot be repaired? Are the fields of psychology/psychiatry truly that advanced that we can guarantee outcomes, including that discharged "patients" won't go off their meds (assuming the drugs themselves don't contribute to an unhinged mind)? Today's Gun Rights Examiner column looks at people who may be too broken to be fixed.

This Day in History: September 4

General Howe having arrived with his Army at the Head of Chesapeak Bay, with a design to push his Arms in this Quarter and particularly against Philadelphia, It is necessary to collect our whole force to oppose him. You will therefore, immediately on receipt of this, march such Companies of your Regiment, as are on the Eastern Shore, with all convenient expedition to the head of Sassafras, or such other place towards the Head of Elk or elsewhere, at which the Eastern Shore Militia may be collected, and join and cooperate with them, in such measures as may be necessary for annoying and harrassing the Enemy.
