Iowa Carry Says NRA Bill 'Best Chance at Getting (Concealed Carry) into Law'

As a follow-up to my recent column on competing concealed carry bills in Iowa, I have invited representatives from state gun rights groups Iowa Gun Owners and Iowa Carry to educate us on their positions. The following response is from Sean McClanahan, President, Iowa Carry... [More]
Here's Iowa Carry's response.

New Year's Gun Rights Resolution: Read Second Amendment Books

"I will purchase and read books documenting the history behind the development of the Second Amendment."

I say "purchase" because I believe it is important to support authors who do such important work. They deserve to eat, too. [More]
Here's today's suggestion. And here are the resolutions I've posted to date:

New Year's gun rights resolution: Attend an Appleseed
New Year's gun rights resolution: Know your representatives
New Year's gun rights resolution: Write letters to the editor

We're the Only Ones Keeping You from Getting Hurt Enough

Ri...i...ight... [More]

Besides, there was "cause for concern," expressed as only the "Only Ones" can...

We're the Only Ones Triple the Charges Enough

Three veteran city police officers were charged Thursday in Circuit Court with separate crimes ranging from accessory to murder to forgery and official misconduct. [More]
Wait a minute--I thought we were told three was a "spate."

How do we reconcile that against "a few bad apples"?

High standards, seriously taken. Which is why three unrelated "Only Ones"--and "veterans" at that-- felt comfortable enough at abusing their positions this way? That we've been told about...?

Armed Citizen Stops Shooting--Brady Campaign Wishes He and Others had been Killed Instead

As the man was firing shots, another citizen armed with a gun came around the corner and ordered the gunman to put his weapon down. The gunman dropped his weapon and ran into his father's apartment and barricaded himself inside. [More]
When, oh when will we learn it is much safer to just give them what they want?

I, Terrorist

What the bloody, festering...[More]
Well, you'll just have to go the The Liberty Zone to see Nicki finish that sentence, as only she can...

Fort Benning deserves better leadership than this.

We're the Only Ones Exonerated Enough

Two police officers now allege that off-duty Deputy Police Chief David Chartrand was "highly intoxicated" on the September night his own officers almost shot him, but Police Chief Kevin Richardson said he's not changing the investigation that exonerates his deputy. [More]
No, and why would we expect him to? Besides, as we clearly see, being a drunk "first responder" is well within department policy norms,

What good would it do being an "Only One" if such treatment wasn't a right of office? Including not being shot...?

We're the Only Ones Faking It Enough

Dallas officer accused of faking burglary story to hide his sex act in squad car [More]
Me so "Only."

Oh, and one more thing... I faked every orgasm!

Jon Gosselin Gun Ban Reporting Provides More Questions than Answers

Nothing like having our rights defined by the least informed/most trivial-minded among us... [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column is a further demonstration of the shallowness of "Authorized Journalism"--on so many levels.
