Also check out these other Liberty-oriented Examiners:

The Day the Earth Stood Still

Anybody have a good source for cheap toy robots? [Read]

They'd be a good alternative to Lite-Brite Mooninites, which are so hard to find these days, and Kermit the Frog has already been done to death.

Seriously, this is all it takes?

At least Klaatu had a real robot with frickin' laser beams and everything...

UPDATE: Vanderboegh had a similar reaction.

It's a Jersey Thing Redux

First Newark and now Camden...[Read]

Fortunately, they still have the resources to keep this hard-boiled character locked up in the animal house where they evidently think he belongs.

What Might Have Been

On Wednesday, the town's K-8 school was on lockdown, because a woman going through a divorce told officers that her husband might have been driving around with a gun. [More]
See how easy it is? That's all it takes. And if they happen to get spooked and squeeze a few into him and it turns out he was unarmed, that's when department protocol kicks in.

Mentioning divorce in a Disney community does remind me of an old joke, though...

Not Ripe?

Keep acting like "shall not be infringed" is subordinate to legalistic incantations and chicanery, and that may change... [Read]

Oh, the Weather Outside is Frightful

But the fire is delightful... [More]

I want one too. I'd say it looks like a blast but such a groaner might get me flamed..

We're the Only Ones Sensitive Enough

Police are not releasing the officer's mugshot because he works in a sensitive role at Metro and cannot have his picture shown. [More]
Yeah, besides, people who are in control of themselves tend to get a bit sensitive when some drunk with a gun and a badge starts ordering them around.

And They Say There Are No Stupid Questions...

Which Americans don’t want liberty, or support tyranny?[More]
Umm...you?

[Via Ed M]

We're the Only Ones Standardized Enough

“As law enforcement officers, we are held to a higher standard..." [More]
Yo, Chief Lopez: Is that like a standard talking point of yours or what?

That was kind of weird--it's almost like WRAL has a standard template where they can just plug in the new information...

[Via Cocked and Loaded]

If At First You Don't Succeed...

...try, try again. [Read]

For some reason, I don't think those hospitals passed my questions along to their risk management departments...

No Need to Widen Castle Doctrine

The opinion-molders at the York Daily Record will protect you. [Read]

Right after they get this damn thing seated properly...

We're the Only Ones Scrawling Our Signature Enough

It's the signature program for Baltimore police — curtail violence by getting guns off city streets. [More]
Quite simply put, we will brook no competition.

If You Go Out In the Woods Today...

...you'd better go in disguise. [Play]

Vanderboegh reminds us this is the weekend the teddy bears have their picnic. [Read]

Dialog on campus guns helps clear up perceptions

Enter Jack Burch, CEO of Hill Country Shooting Sports Center in Kerrville, Texas. Burch approached Holda with courtesy and reason, and was responded to in kind. They conducted a conversation via email, and he obtained Dr. Holda’s permission to share his thoughts with a wider audience.

To that end, Mr. Burch is allowing me to share it with Gun Rights Examiner readers.[More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column shows some enlightenment happening in the most unlikely of places, an institute of "higher learning".

This Day in History: December 3

Lee sent repeated letters to congressmen, members of the military, and the press attacking the character of Washington and complaining of mistreatment by the Continental Congress. After reading Lee's defamatory "Vindication," published in the Pennsylvania Packet on December 3, 1778, Colonel John Laurens challenged Lee to a duel over his slanderous remarks about Washington's character. In the duel, Lee was wounded and could not fight a second duel requested by General Wayne. [More]
