Dang, I Can't Get Out of Here Tonight

Kurt has a new one. Go read it. [More]

Black mug shot police targets show double standard of silhouette exemptions

While Police Chief J. Scott Dennis says his men “could have used better judgment,” he denies that racial profiling was involved. [More]
So let me get this straight -- these guys are shooting at photos of real black people while "lawmakers" want to ban us mere mundanes from using silhouette targets -- and they couldn't have picked a worse time to do something so inflammatory. Oh well, I guess it won't be their businesses they stand by and watch burn from the reactions they provoke.

Sometimes You Wynn, Sometimes You Lose

I don't have time to do any more right now than post a link, but gun owners take note. [More]

I guess what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas. I couldn't tell you--I've never understood the attraction. of watching professional scammers with the odds favoring the house preying on human weakness...

At least SHOT won't be at a Wynn property.

Still, a prominent European Jewish leader coming to the recognition that arms in private hands can protect individuals and communities from those who would eliminate them should be seen as a welcome and significant change in outlook, and one that domestic Kapos for Kristallnacht would do well to recognize. That will becomes increasingly apparent as decentralized sleeper cells in the U.S. begin to awaken, particularly when they make a special point of targeting American Jews. [More]
My latest JPFO Alert notes a paradigm that may be shifting.

Speaking of Spurious

The spurious conclusions in these surveys don’t just distort the pro-gun community’s perception of defensive gun use. For example, the claim that millions every year shoot their guns in self-defense has led some to posit that there are more defensive gun uses than criminal uses. [More]
Who makes that claim?  The figures I've seen generally include the qualifier "without a shot being fired."

I know I experienced a DGU under those conditions, it was no myth, and I'm damn glad I had a gun, although it never made it into "the record" because I couldn't report it to the police afterward. Stupid  citizen disarmament edicts hive insects like this lie to provide false cover for enacting precluded that.

Not that it would matter to Evan Defilippis and Devin Hughes, who would rather you and I be dead than armed.

DOJ accused of blocking legal gun shops, other businesses from banking [More]
That's because they're criminals working for tyrants, and they hate us.

The thing is, when the guy from the U.S. Consumer Coalition says "This is one of the greatest abuses of power that the country has never heard of," some of us roll our eyes.

That stuff never makes the supermarket checkout tabloids that refocus so many of our pre-cannibal food fellow "citizens."

Now we'll wait to see what it will bring back, won't we, Rejina?  And isn't this an interesting development, seeing as how I never did anything but send her a few links pertaining to analyses of her actions in producing the video. Maybe I need some friends who have not been blocked to send me some screenshots...

UPDATE: See, Rejina, that took all of five minutes to get all the access I want -- not that I really give a damn, aside from seeing if you post anything that may be even more incriminating.

I'd ordinarily credit my source, but no sense getting her blocked, so let me just say thanks, ****** **** ****!

The Right Thing to Do

PARA USA regrets its decision to provide firearms for use in the film "Taken 3". While the film itself is entertaining, comments made by its Irish-born star during press junkets reflect a cultural and factual ignorance that undermines support of the Second Amendment and American liberties. We will no longer provide firearms for use in films starring Liam Neeson and ask that our friends and partners in Hollywood refrain from associating our brand and products with his projects. Further, we encourage our partners and friends in the firearms industry to do the same. [More]
Excellent. It's nice to see companies that promote principles, especially when some pay big money to get their products showcased in major motion pictures due to the promotional value.

Prosecutor to Pokey-Poke

Screwy screw youey you... [More]

And in the interests of truly equal justice, I'm still wondering why new charges haven't been filed...

And as far as this goes: I'm suspicious that all reports up until recently said Pokey took the guy's eye out, and this new disclaimer didn't come out until a reputation cleanup bid was made.  I'd be interested to see if the victim has suddenly come into some money.

Cutting the Power

As reported in the news, City of Harrisburg Mayor Eric Papenfuse has stated that the City will not repeal its illegal laws. [More]
Well then this oughtta make him pop a fuse...

Oh, I'm sorry, I read this headline and automatically assumed something else...

BREAKING NEWS!!! HOLD THE PRESSES!!!

Man, anything to tie a celebrity in with citizen disarmament and milk an old story, eh, Marc Malkin...? [More]

He even linked to his own piece from a year ago.

But I guess the part about "progressive" (Opposite Day) Penn not being satisfied with French citizen disarmament and wanting to give terrorists who ignore such foolish "laws" even more of an advantage was all the excuse needed to shake off an old piece and give it a new purse. It also gave Marc a chance to re-spread Penn's "cowardly killing machines" line, probably to try and convince himself and like-minded anti-gun males that the inadequacy is not theirs.  It is.

Funny, how he didn't explore the reason behind Penn's projections of cowardice on others. Just consider that comes from a "man" who beats women and, if he didn't have elite connections, would have been designated a "prohibited person" by law.

Ah well, his work here is done. Marc is on the trail of important, manly stuff, like Nicole Kidman's favorite dress of all time.

"Authorized Journalists"/Fourth Estate Fifth Columnists (or as Dianne Feinstein calls them, "real reporters" and Joe Biden refers to as "legitimate news media"): Is it any wonder we all should respect them so?

Campus Carry Hurdle in Florida

The Florida House Criminal Justice Subcommittee meets Tuesday, January 20th, at 4:00 pm in Tallahassee to consider Campus Carry. This year’s Florida legislative session is shaping up to be a battle for self-defense rights. The first bill to be reviewed in committee will be a Campus Carry bill that was filed after a mentally ill attorney attacked students studying in the FSU library by opening fire on defenseless students and university employees. [More]
You gotta wonder about the mental health of anyone in the legislature who would attack student rights...

Anyway, if you're from Florida, go to the link and do what they ask.  If you're not from Florida, send it to friends who are.

And yeah, I'm presuming those you call "friend" support gun rights, because anyone who supports your disarmament is, by their sentiments and actions, your enemy.

Saddle Up

MIDNIGHT RIDE will immortalize Oath Keepers' stand against the militarization of police and will show clearly why Oath Keepers rejects the coming "martial law". Martial Law is in the works as we speak, and our "Ten Orders We Will Not Obey" have never been more pertinent. [More]
Will they ride alone or will you join them?

Also, I see they've redesigned their site.

This Day in History: January 16

Commanding officers of Lines from which there are soldiers absent attending as servants or officers who have retired in consequence of the late arrangement, or left the service in any other way; will direct in pointed terms all such soldiers to join their corps without delay—and in case they shall neglect to comply with the order, their names, together with the names and ranks of the officers by whom they are retained, must be immediately reported to Head Quarters, that proper measures may be taken to enforce obedience.
