The Blood Dancers' Wish List

And we want one of these, and one of these, and... [More]

Kurt looks at "progressives" working themselves into an eye-rolling frenzy fantasizing about all the edicts they'd love to be able to impose, and have somebody else can enforce.

‘Hobbit ring’ school suspension merits closer look

What’s unknown is how much of the story as reported comports with the totality of events and what was actually said and done. If all is as related in the OA Online report, it recalls other hysterical overreactions on the part of teachers and school administrators, such as the account of a child suspended for biting a strawberry tart into something supposed adults said looked like a gun, or the teen confronted by officials and police for fantasizing about shooting a neighbor’s pet dinosaur, or my personal favorite, a county-wide school lockdown and detention of a student after a worker misinterpreted the lyrics to “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” that accompanied a voicemail. Today's Gun Rights Examiner report looks at those who covet the ring of power to the point of madness.

Be That Way

If that's the way you want it. Karma has a way of catching up.  Too bad the animals will no doubt prey on others before they're sent to the oblivion they deserve.  [More]

Pity such nullification never seems to take place when a gun rights advocate is charged with the victimless exercising of his right to keep and bear arms.

Hey, if I said anything about deporting the goddamn Somali back to the hellhole he came from to see how he likes justice there, would that make me a racist?

Markley's Law Writ Large

Maybe it's penis envy? [More]

Oh, wait, I know -- its' submission to the will of the dominant males in their lives, because everyone know an armed woman is 3,473,683 times more likely to be the victim of domestic abuse and killed after her gun is taken away from her.

It's settled science!

Sorry, ladies. The people who promote that are "progressives," and we have to assume they're smarter than us and know what's best, right?

No on Lynch

GOA explains why. [More]

We will all come to regret that NRA stood by and did not lead in this, as they have not led in so many other vital areas. This should be a scored vote.

Sadly, the near certain outcome is all too predictable.

Get Well Soon

Sheriff Richard Mack is recovering from a heart attack. [More]

Interesting story, how he drove himself to the hospital rather than wait for second responders.

We're Not the Only Ones

Detroit police chief James Craig – nicknamed “Hollywood” for his years spent in the LAPD and his seeming love of being in front of the camera – has repeatedly called on “good” and “law-abiding” Detroiters to arm themselves against criminals in the city. [More]
What is this guy, some kind of manhood-compensating anti-government white racist?

Quick! Somebody think up a new charge to level, because white-privileged Shannon couldn't very well play the Uncle Tom card without massive blow-back.

When East Meets West...

...and lectures Colorado neoMaoists on how the real thing operates. [More]

You know, the cultural revolutionaries who call those with the power to make forced obedience costly "human rights violators"...

A Game of Inches

But it's not a game and they're playing for keeps. [More]

That's why you should never give an inch.

We're the Only Authorized Journalists Simulated Enough

Oh look, a crossover episode. [More]

I wonder if they make these with shoot/don't shoot decisions involving dogs?

The Social Engineering Network

Oh, look, twice in one morning I'm harping on the tactical and strategic importance of being on "social media." [More]

It's a Choice

The reaction.

You can end up being this guy, or you can end up being this guy.

Washington State Patriots Bail Fund Info

For everyone who says they support the planned act of defiance... [More]

It's nice to see others are thinking of this in advance. It would also be nice to see a tally for how much they collect that's earmarked for legal defense, just to see how deeply declarations of support prove out.

Switching gears, you know how I'm always bugging people to get on social media, saying it's not about trivial pursuits but about command, control, communications and intelligence? And not ceding an important front to the enemy? In the words of a friend and colleague:
If you have any comms with any of those folks, tell them (pls) to get their damned Twitter feeds up, running, tested, and publicized NOW, with a comms plan to live-Tweet events there on Sat so that the world knows WTF is happening live--  It is the second most important thing (besides being there) and is a helluva lot more important than a 6 or 12 hour delayed-After Action Report..
I'd add have someone there streaming live video.

Back to the defense fund: Support it and spread the word, or be ready and committed to provide aid on a moment's notice, like Mike knows I am.

Stop the Defen...Uh...Violence

Before George Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin to death in Florida, his ex-girlfriend accused him of physically assaulting her. He faced no charges, but has been arrested twice for alleged domestic violence since 2013. [More]
Self-defense is violence that needs to be stopped?

Moretti Underground Redux

My Monday night interview discussing ATF/DOJ "fraud on the court" in the Jay Dobyns case has now been archived.  The segment begins at 1:01.

This Day in History: February 4

George III issues Cornwall’s Proclamation of Cessation of Hostilities (which would later culminate, in September, with the Paris Peace Treaty), ending the American Revolution. [More]
I'm probably going to continue this series through the year 1783 until then, and maybe even afterward to highlight conflicts of establishing the new system, but perhaps not daily. Or perhaps I may go back to the beginning of conflict and start doing things chronologically from the start of action. Or I may just hang up this feature altogether, or figure out some other way to present a daily account of what it took to shake off a crown.

Those of you who have been following this feature have no doubt noticed that in addition to the "big" stuff, I've tried to present everyday stuff to give a feel for the sacrifices "ordinary" people went through, and factors that need to be considered to obtain a more whole picture, stuff like supplies, logistics, tactics, personalities, regional matters, schisms, etc. Those are things that would have relevance should all avenues of peaceable redress be blocked and should some decide an "obey or be destroyed" alternative is not acceptable.
