When the shooting started Saturday night, I'll bet there wasn't a person in the club who wouldn't have traded everything he owned in the world, for a loaded gun. [More]I'm not sure I'd take that bet. That said, I'll bet that would have applied to some of the victims, who had a right to make that choice, even if "the law" -- and NRA "leadership"! -- refuse to recognize it.
This guy certainly has a more rational and respectable reaction than Goddard and Parker.

Thank the Florida Legislature for creating this Gun-Free Zone because it served alcohol. Several other states have similar legislation. If you live in one of those states, contact your representatives and Governor and demand that they change the law.
If one Googles "Istanbul terror attack" the results are filled with images of ambulances and dead and injured bodies. If one Googles, "Orlando Pulse terror attack", there are no ambulances or dead bodies. There is video of injured people actually being carried toward the Pulse nightclub, not away. This is not a rhetorical question. Are there different standards for what can be displayed on a search engine based on the country of origin?
There is a video interview with a supposed victim who claim that the shooter barely missed his head, but shot him in the hand. But then holds up both hands, and there's not a mark on him.
After Istanbul, the media didn't interview a bunch of doctors to talk about their emergency room heroics. Someone please explain the stark contrast to me.
