Perimeter Watch

We wish to establish a safety perimeter of protection for the occupiers so as to prevent a Waco-style situation from unfolding during this peaceful occupation. The primary intention of this outer-ring is to bear witness to any aggressive action initiated by federal agencies or the occupiers, and to encourage an open dialogue towards a peaceful resolution.  [More]
This could complicate an aggressive response if done as stated.

Border Control and Gun Rights

Our Guests: Agent Craig Duff & Author and Gun Rights Activist, David Codrea
This Week: Borders and gun control issues continue to be in the news of late, and often neither of the issues on a good note. We start with Agent Craig Duff, a twenty year U.S. Border Patrol agent to get a look at the realities of the border — is it as porous as the media often makes it out to be? What tools are at their disposal? Is Canada, which has a much larger border with the U.S. than Mexico, overlooked in border security? We'll get a look at what's happening from Agent Duff, who has been an agent on both the southern and northern border so has a very deep understanding of the issues, challenges, and successes on both borders, as well as what they need to make their job more effective.
Then we talk to author and gun rights activist David Codrea who was instrumental in breaking the "Fast and Furious" story.  We discuss new information about Fast and Furious, the current executive orders President Obama wrote regarding more gun control rules, debunk some common anti-gun rights memes, and we wrap things up with his thoughts on the story of ranchers taking over a national wildlife refuge in Burns, Oregon.
Then don’t miss next week’s show as we continue our discussion on the standoff in Burns with President of Oath Keepers, Stewart Rhodes and President of American Lands Council, Rep. Ken Ivory.
Monday, after the show airs, you can go to our webpage www.ispyradio.com and download a free podcasts.

A Nation of Fly Larvae

“Safe Rooms” are the last, pathetic, contemptible line of defense of  frightened, passive white people against uncontrolled crime. The first and best defense is a culture that doesn’t commit crime and slams hard any intruding criminal. But this is racism. The second is a Ruger Redhawk and the will to use it, but if the remains are of the wrong color it’s a hate crime. [More]

Plea to All Friends of Mike Vanderboegh

Per Mike, the doctors have told him he is not long of this world. As we all know, his financial situation due to years of disability and devotion to the larger issue of self-sacrifice for freedom is terrible.  He is doing what he can to get his affairs in order, but the reality is, his wife will be left in really bad shape.  I would like to help with a funding appeal.

I looked at various "crowdfunding" sites, but there are hoops to jump through and/or  a cut they take. For now at least, in order to get the ball rolling and hopefully growing as it does, I'm asking all of Mike's friends to spread the word and to send gratitude offerings directly to him:
  • Paypal to  georgemason1776@aol.com*
  • Check, money order, cash, etc. to Mike Vanderboegh, PO Box 926, Pinson, AL 35126.**
You'll note I called it a "gratitude offering." That's proper, as this is being directed to those of you who have received value from Mike's work over the years. That gratitude should also extend to Mike's wife Rosey, who has had to make plenty of sacrifices of her own to enable Mike to do so many necessary things you and I have benefited from.

In truth, many people have and owe Mike plenty, and don't even realize it.

There are people who identify as "Three Percenters" who don't know Mike is the originator of the concept, and who have never heard of Sipsey Street Irregulars. You can generally tell, because, by their words and conduct, they reveal absolute unfamiliarity with the Catechism of the Three Percent, and its "ironclad commitment to no first use of force."

Plenty more have heard of "Fast and Furious." Few know the first report came from Mike, and how creatively and hard he worked after that to dig out more exclusive information, and to make certain the story got noticed by politicians and the press.

The entire movement to restore recognition of the right to keep and bear arms -- and more -- owes Mike for his uncompromising leadership, for his refusal to comply, and for the risks he has assumed with acts of public defiance.

Everyone who is a War on Guns regular and a Sipsey Street Irregular owes Mike for being a constant source of information and inspiration. So no, I'm not begging anyone for donations on his behalf -- I'm flat out observing we owe him, and now's the time to show it tangibly.

You need to first be a force multiplier and spread the word about this to everyone within your sphere of influence  -- email, social media, forums, blogs, whatever, and that includes requesting help from bloggers whose sites you frequent.  If you're a member of a group, you need to pressure it to help. And I'm not talking a one-time deal -- I'm going to be posting regular updates asking you to send reminders.

The next thing you need to do will actually cost you something. You need to donate something. Those of you without similar personal or family medical issues who you think you can't afford to, remember the widow's mite

Don't assume someone else will be picking up the slack, so you don't need to do anything.

That's enough for now. I'm going to be regularly following up on this, including with updates. I guess we'll find out who Mike's friends are.

* Paypal form:

UPDATE: I'm told just going to Paypal and picking the friends/family option will keep fees from being taken out. I'm also told that there are donation limits Paypal imposes -- it may just be simpler to send a check.

** A friend suggests "writing 'gift' in the memo line of a check, because that clarifies any person can donate up to $14,000 per year to any other person, without either of them incurring tax obligations."

In with the New

It’s been a week since 2016 began, and we are excited to share our plans for the New Year. This will be a critical year for the state of Nevada, as Bloomberg’s Universal Background Check Initiative will be on the ballot. [More]
If Bloomberg wins in Nevada, he'll keep on advancing until he's in your state. Wouldn't you rather stop him before he gets there?

Full Disclosure

Lobbyists in Missouri who have sex with state lawmakers or their aides would have to disclose that activity to the state ethics commission, under a bill introduced this week by a Republican state representative. [More]
I thought being a whore required discretion... this could open the door to valuation for services tax liabilities, contributions in kind campaign finance reporting, etc.

What if it's the politician doing the servicing? What if its politicians making "backroom deals"with each other?

Hey, will there be a reporting form, with activity codes...?

Hey, We're for Gun Control Too!

Why are you fighting for prior restraints?

Show me where "adjudicated" affords the same due process protections for all those suspected of mental disabilities as are given to those accused of heinous crimes. Answer the questions!

You're not exclusively talking "violent felons" and you know it. You're also talking Americans who have run afoul of citizen disarmament edicts for daring to exercise a right supposedly guaranteed by the Second Amendment.

The truth that needs to be dealt with, and so it won't be, is that anyone who can't be trusted with a gun can't be trusted without a custodian. For as long as that person can't be trusted.

Still, as long as you're going to support the "prohibited person" alternative, there is a much less intrusive prior restraint, and one that creates no record of who purchased what. It's a shame, but no surprise, that we have to access it through the Internet Archive.

Fear Factor

I'm less afraid of the criminals wielding guns in Baltimore, I declared as we discussed the issue, than I am by those permitted gun owners. [More]
That's because you're an idiot. And pretty snotty about your "white privilege," to boot.

How many Baltimore murders have been committed by NRA members again?

With "progressives," every day is Opposite Day.

I'll bet Sharon Tate probably thought she lived in a pretty safe neighborhood, too. As did the Petits.

We're the Only Ones Lively Enough

According to a court record, the incident began when Lively dumped the contents of a glass potpourri container on the victim after he broke it while unloading items from a shopping trip. Lively then grabbed the woman and dragged her and forced her to the dining room floor. He also forcibly took a cellphone from the victim and twice struck her in the back of the head with his fist, the court record said ... Authorities also said Lively pulled her arms behind her while pushing her tailbone with his knee or foot ... The court record said the woman was left with a fractured tailbone, bruises and scratches. Authorities said portions of the victim’s hair were pulled from her head. [More]

Hey You. Yes, You.

Bloomberg is eyeing Arizona as the jewel he wants for his crown. Just because you're not from there doesn't mean what happens there won't affect you.
