Oath-Breaking Governor and LEOs Torpedo West Virginia ‘Constitutional Carry’

It's a big club and you're in it whether you want to be or not?

One thing I'm surprised I haven't heard being talked about, although I admit I haven't really gone looking for it, would be the potential for the wall idea to be DOA by federal court order because an environmental lawsuit would claim it interfered with some obscure species' migratory route...

Ah, look...

I'd like to hear what Trump has to say about how he intends to deal with this. I think I'll tweet this to him.

One thing to keep in mind: Eisenhower kept things from getting out of hand without a wall, so perhaps the real issue is the WILL.

UPDATE: Delivered.

The Last Roundup

Looks like a few different actions have taken place:

Tea Party Activist, Trump Supporter Jerry DeLemus Arrested
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has taken custody of Jerry DeLemus, a New Hampshire Tea Party activist who previously made trips to Nevada to take part in the Bundy Ranch stand-off and the federal forestry building seizure in Oregon two months ago, according to reports.
ALERT:
They Kidnapped another A.R.M. admin today, our Brother and fellow Three Percenter Eric Ej Parker of the Three Percenters of Idaho and PPN or as some of you may know him, the Man On The Bridge.
I don't have contacts in either case, so I've passed these along to those who will. Also note this is raw. I expect more facts will be forthcoming soon.

The Undiscovered Country

Research by David Hemenway and Sara J. Solnick has shown that children under 14 in the United States have far higher rates of unintentional firearm death than children in other developed countries... [More]
Which countries would those be?  You guys didn't leave out Russia and Mexico again, did you?

And how come the linked "study" refers to "high income countries" in its citation?  Is that synonymous with "developed"?  Can't be too careful using precise terminology in studies, you know.

Because the source for the cite further qualifies things as "23 populous high-income Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development countries that provided data to the World Health Organization for 2003."

So we're not even current but we're still coming up with new conclusions? And it's only those that reported to WHO? This is starting to remind me of the "Mexican crime guns" scam-- first it was 95% came from U.S. gun shops and it whittled its way down to 70% of those recovered and reported, which ended up being something like 17% in one report I saw, which again had no correlation with the full auto stuff, grenades, etc. coming in from Guatemala and points unknown.

Then, of course, we need to break our own internal numbers down further and see how many domestic problems came from which population, and lo and behold- - I'll bet you could look at the stats for NRA members, arguably the most armed to the teeth civilian population on the planet, and our rates would approach statistical insignificance.

Meaning it's not the guns...?

But what do I know, not being "high income"or anything...?

I agree.

It's amazing to me  -- and disappointing -- that among people with any kind of influence in gun rights advocacy, and especially among the more popular "gun bloggers," voices sounding the warning are so few.

The one prag I saw making excuses for NRA to ignore this is the same one who recommended giving NRA a pass for not making confirmation of Holder for AG a scoring issue. We saw how well that turned out.

Cleaning the Augean Stables

(Luis Garcia)
Remember yesterday's redacted insult?

Some documents have been received now, reams of 'em, and perhaps there's a flood-'em-with-accumulated-ordure strategy in that as well.

Anyway, if you're interested in how ATF makes decisions on who it's going to inflict itself on -- and especially if they treat everyone the same -- just wading through all this stuff and trying to make sense of it will give you some idea of how to BEGIN trying to find out.

This is what searchable databases were made for. As opposed to using them to single out gun owners.

Everyone realizes the work it's going to take to make something useful out of this, and that nobody's doing it because it's lucrative...? On a scale of the labors of Hercules on one end and typing "Molon  Labe!" comments under blog posts on the other, this one rates on the hard end.

I hope people understand what's going on here -- and why -- enough to appreciate it. Some of the people doing important work aren't always the ones everybody else is rewording stories about.
