Use Your Imagination

That baffled a Democratic IT staffer, who said “I can’t imagine why she’d be that good of friends with a technology provider.” [More]
Because she's a traitor?

If it were you or me impeding an investigation with threats like that, do you think the term "obstruction of justice" would enter the conversation?

UPDATE: Looks like she could have bought some time...?

"The congresswoman characterizes the evidence as “belonging” to her and argues that therefore it cannot be seized unless Capitol Police tell her that she personally, as opposed to her staffer, is a target of the investigation.”

"Well, y’see, Debbie, this works exactly like forfeiture — it’s not that YOU are guilty of anything, but we think your PROPERTY is guilty as sin, so we took it. And now you have to positively prove it’s innocence to us before we can give it back to you.

"So get to work’, doll.”

Who says DWS is that good friends with the runaways? It is just as likely that there are things on the hard drive that she doesn't want seeing the light of day. I don't think most politicians would be tickled to see police forensic IT personnel riffling through a hard drive which could have a lot of dirt on them - not to mention the dirt DWS might have on OTHER denizens of the swamp.
