When have they not? Then there's this:

"Is the National Rifle Assn. a threat to public safety?"

What the hell kind of question is that? Public safety threats need to be eliminated. Just like vermin needs to be exterminated.

I guess proving he's deceptive is all the qualification Hiltzik needs -- as long as he doesn't get caught again. Management has his back on that this time.

My guess is they weren't all that surprised the first time.
