Chicago Homicides Demonstrate the Only Result of ‘Gun Control’ is Citizen Disarmament

When was the last time a “warm day” turned you homicidal?
Is there a connection between people abdicating increased responsibility for their lives to the state, and the enabling of bad behaviors such surrender makes inevitable? Is “freedom” without responsibility even possible? How much more “progressive” experimentation do we need to see play out in America’s cities before it becomes permissible to identify the real elephant in the room, that rampant violent crime within urban demographics is an indicator of populations most directly affected by and responsive to a continuing history of destructive control policies? [More]
“If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don’t have to worry about answers.”

Forget it Jake, it's Chi-Town.

The Only 'Legal' Option

"Hold each other, that's all we can do," said a parent who spoke to NBC4. "I'm probably going to cry like a baby. I don't care, I just want to hug my child." [More]
And that will stop exactly nothing, which is how the gun-grabbers, who would rather see you and your child slaughtered than you being armed, demand it.

Sure, Niccolo, now's as good a time to repeat it as any.

HB 6200 – Show Your Papers Dead in Judiciary

The law is clear: if you are not reasonably suspected of breaking the law, you cannot be detained and searched. [More]
A list of oath-breaking traitors who maintain otherwise is included, and that's always good to know. Whether they can be unseated as urged is a different matter. Case in point, the first name on the list looks pretty safe just based on how the district votes. You could run a toaster with a "D" after its name and I doubt results would change much.

Ain't no subsitute for being able to deliver. I'd be looking for a weak link or two and then focusing resources. That, of course, assumes the Republican challenger isn't a backstabbing stool sample like JohnMcKinney proved to be.

Joseph Jakubowski: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

A massive manhunt is underway for a Janesville, Wisconsin man who is accused of sending Donald Trump a 161-page anti-government and anti-religious manifesto as well as threatening school shootings and harm to public officals. What’s adding extra alarm: Joseph Jakubowski, 32, is armed with at least 16 weapons, police say, including assault rifles. [More]
You really only need 3 fast facts:
  1. He's a "progressive."
  2. He's a "prohibited person."
  3. Background checks and other gun owner controls would have had absolutely no effect.

On This We Can All Agree?

Liberals and conservatives alike should cheer the court’s decision. Empowering law enforcement to curtail the Fourth Amendment makes no one safer, even when it’s done in the name of controlling gun violence. And allowing officers to target gun owners without suspicion of wrongdoing puts us all at greater risk of harassment, discrimination, and brutality. [More]
That's pretty surprising coming from Slate.

Unsurprisingly, some of indignant "progressive" comment posters don't see it that way, and appear to be trapped in a cognitive dissonance / non sequitur corner of their own making.

This is interesting:

"Workers"?

Isn't failure to use gloves and other protective gear to clean up hazardous medical wastes a violation of all kinds of Democrat-spearheaded federal and state workplace safety mandates? And how were the towels disposed of? So does that make this evidence of violations that must be addressed and enforced, not only to equitably assess fines, but to ensure proper training is implemented to prevent a recurrence?

I think I'll ask.

What is it about "progressives" and blood-handling in violation of the law?

UPDATE -- well that was fast! Think anything will come of it?
